The ancient village was built in the early years of the Southern Song Dynasty. It has a history of nearly 1000 years ago. Ancient village terraces stand in the east, like Lingxi Hu, Yaoshan towering in the south, rich water flowing in the north, surrounded by mountains and rivers, natural beauty, Eight Diagrams lanes, ponds, academies, Yicang, archways, pavilions, docks, churches, revolutionary old residential sites and so on.
The ancient village of Meipi seems to be the first village of Luling Culture which combines Academy culture, ancestral temple culture, religious culture, red culture and carving art of Ming and Qing Dynasties.
The village has 582 residential buildings, 367 Ming and Qing Dynasties buildings, 600 households, more than 2,800 people, five ancient ancestral halls, several ancestral halls, four ancient academies, one ancient temple, one ancient pavilion, three ancient archways, and more than 900 meters of ancient streets.
